During the 2021 International Supercomputing Conference (ISC), Intel showcases its high-performance computing (HPC) portfolio. They highlighted some major changes as well.
Their portfolio includes Sapphire Rapids, the next generation of Intel Xeon Scalable processors that offer integrated high bandwidth memory (HBM). Intel claims that it has been optimized for HPC and AI workloads along with a built-in AI acceleration engine, Intel Advanced Matrix Extensions.
Intel also announced its high-performance networking with Ethernet solution that extends the technology capabilities in the HPC segments by using standard Intel Ethernet 800 series network adaptors and controllers.
