IBM has recently announced the launch of the FlashSystem 5200 to streamline its storage portfolio with the same software and solutions spanning the product line. This will help round out its storage portfolio with the system designed for remote offices, edge computing, and a hybrid cloud.
The company believes that the FlashSystem portfolio is container and hybrid cloud-centric, provided the architecture is widely used for digital transformation plans. This solution can connect to Microsoft Azure and AWS.
Eric Herzog, CMO and VP global storage channels at IBM, explained – “The FlashSystem 5200 brings high-end features to smaller enterprises, remote offices, and edge computing.”
