In order to improve its data quality capabilities, IBM Corp. said today that it had acquired Databand.ai Ltd. for an undisclosed sum.
According to IBM, companies use Databand.ai’s data observability software to correct any issues with their data, including errors, pipeline failures, and low quality. IBM said that since businesses today depend more on massive amounts of information to guide business decisions, data quality has grown to be a significant problem for them.
The computing giant stated that the goal is to strengthen its current capabilities in the data observability domain by integrating Databand.ai’s tools with services like IBM Observability by Instana APM and IBM Watson Studio.
