IBM has announced that it is all set to acquire Nordcloud, the Helsinki-based cloud integration firm. The terms of the deal were not disclosed yet. With this acquisition, IBM would be able to advance its cloud tools and migration services.
Nordcloud is certified in different cloud services, including Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure. It will help the tech giant with EU-based cloud deals and managed services – which will plug into its hybrid cloud solutions led by Red Hat.
This agreement comes as IBM is positioning itself to be a primary hybrid cloud software maker. It has been noted that the technology services unit would be separated to make it an independent company.
