Hybrid data management startup Cohesity has raised $250 million in funding. The Series E funding has reached the company valuation of $2.5 billion, more than double the figure at its previous valuation two years ago. The enterprise data storage company specializes in making it easier to back up and extract insights from that data.
The raised capital will be used on R&D and grow domestically and internationally. The Series E round was led by DFJ Growth, Foundation Capital, Greenspring Associates, and Wing Venture Capital.
