Huawei Urges Shift to Software to Counter US Sanctions

Ren Zhengfei, the founder of Huawei Technologies has recently called on the workforce to lead the world around software solutions. The company plans to seek growth beyond the hardware operations which the current US sanctions have crippled.

The tech giant indicated that it is focusing on software for future development in the field is fundamentally away from US control. With this, it will have greater autonomy and independence.

Certainly, it will be hard for Huawei to fabricate advanced hardware in short term, and thus building software ecosystems. This includes the Harmony OS, Mindspore – cloud AI system, and other IT products.
