China-based Huawei Technologies Co Ltd has made a revelation in electronic design automation (EDA) tools for chips manufactured at and above 14-nanometre technology. According to the report by Reuters, Huawei will finish testing the tools by the end of the year. The company has designed 78 tools related to chip hardware and software.
Chips manufactured at the 14nm level were first launched in smartphones in the mid-2010s and lag two to three generations behind cutting-edge technology.
