HPE recently announced that it is acquiring Zerto, data replication and protection firm for $374 million. Zero also offers a disaster recovery service (DRaaS) and allows customers to protect their data from the edge to the cloud.
HPE plans to expand the cloud data services through the GreenLake brand. Authorities inform that after the deal closes, Zerto’s management team will join HPE’s storage business team and report to Tom Black, HPE SVP, and GM.
The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of HPE’s financial year and is predicted to contribute over #130 million in run-rate revenue at software gross margins.
