
Oracle has made announcements for the cloud infrastructure roadmap. The announcements include Arm for Linux, NVIDIA A100 general availability, and a new elastic computing level. The latest roadmap will reduce the gaps, trade-offs, and caveats related to cloud high-performance computing (HPC).

The update has five announcements that focus on meeting the high expectations for services clients, including the HPC solutions, on serving the best of both universes. Oracle has collaborated closely with Intel to enhance the HPC service. It means that Intel Ice Lake processor instances will be available to customers early in 2021. A100 instances will be updated to 512 GPUs in a single cluster consisting of bare-metal nodes with eight A100 GPUs.
