Google to offer Mideast grants_ loans focused on training digital skills

Google, a unit of Alphabet Inc, recently planned to provide grants worth $1.1 million to support businesses in the North Africa and Middle East to improve their digital skills and get them online, confirmed the company on Tuesday.

Google also promises to offer $3 million in loans to thousands of enterprises in the region, $2 million of which will go dedicatedly to Egypt, to allow them with a digital transformation.

Online consumption in the region is continuously rising this year as people stay home due to the unexpected coronavirus situation, Google confirmed.
