Alphabet’s Google Cloud has said Microsoft cloud computing practices are anti-competitive and criticized imminent deals with a few European cloud vendors, stating these do not solve concerns about its licensing terms. According to a report by Reuters, Google Cloud has raised the concern with antitrust agencies and requested European Union antitrust regulatory bodies to take a closer look. The industry has recently enforced greater regulatory scrutiny in the United States and Britain due to the dominance of a few players and its increasingly critical role as more and more companies shift their services to the cloud.
