Google’s researcher recently revealed that it has unveiled a new AI model which can create complex chip design in hours – a meticulous task that usually takes months to take human engineers. The researchers have claimed to use datasets of over 10,000 chip layouts to fuel machine-learning models and which further uses reinforcement learning.
In mere six hours, the model has the ability to generate a design that optimizes the placement of various components on the chip. It then creates a final layout that satisfies the operational requirements like power efficiency and processing speed.
