Amazon Web Services, Microsoft, IBM, Google, and other major tech companies have joined forces with the EDM Council to create the Cloud Data Management Capabilities (CDMC) framework.

Over 100 companies were involved in the project which entails creating a comprehensive set of cloud data management capabilities, standards, and best practises for cloud, hybrid-cloud and multi-cloud implementations, as well as implementing automatic key controls for securing sensitive data.

John Bottega, the president of the EDM Council said, “The EDM Council is honored to have facilitated the development of the CDMC framework to provide an auditable and certified cloud data management best practice available as a free license for all industries.”
