Google Expands its Cloud Storage Abilities with Added Options on Data Replication

Google LLC extends its cloud data storage capabilities with new products and features directed at making it simpler for businesses to secure their most critical data across a wide array of apps and use cases.

Google Cloud General Manager of Storage Guru Pangal and Director of Product Management Brian Schwarz spoke about the significance of dual-region and multi-region buckets in Google Cloud Storage. These traits, unique to Google, depend on technologies like Colossus and Spanner and allow a “continent-sized storage system” that covers various geographic regions, they said. Dual-region buckets are one global namespace that produces a single bucket spanning a couple of regions.
