Google LLC has launched Google Cloud Healthcare Interoperability Readiness Program to help organizations in the healthcare industry effectively manage their patient data.
In 2016, a piece of legislation known as Cures Act passed that introduces the requirements across the management of medical records. This made it mandatory for healthcare providers to make their patient’s information accessible by application programming interfaces. APIs provide a great avenue to conveniently share data between different remote systems. This makes it easier for physicians to seamlessly access the patient information and perform their job accordingly.
