According to data released by the MLCommons, Google and Nvidia split the top scores for the twice-yearly benchmark test of Artificial Intelligence program training.
MLCommons is the industry consortium that oversees of the widely used MLPerf test of machine learning performance. Nvidia and its partners have dominated the results across all benchmark tests, while Google decided to participate in only half of the benchmarks.
According to the MLPerf training results for version 2.0, Google received the highest scores for the lowest amount of time for four tasks using commercially available systems
