The Federal Trade Commission has reportedly received complaints from Google LLC and Nvidia Corp. regarding Microsoft Corp.’s proposed USD 68.7 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard Inc.
Bloomberg broke the news late on Thursday, citing insiders with knowledge of the situation. It is anticipated that Google and Nvidia may be called to the stand as witnesses in an upcoming FTC trial centered on the acquisition of Activision Blizzard. On Aug. 3, the trial is scheduled to start. Activision Blizzard is listed on Nasdaq and was purchased by Microsoft last January for USD 68.7 billion.

During the third quarter, Activision Blizzard had sales of USD 1.78 billion and an operating profit of USD 485 million.
