Group of Seven (G7) nation officials has announced they plan to meet next week to consider issues exposed by generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools such as ChatGPT. Leader nations of G7, including the United States of America (USA), the European Union (EU), and Japan, agreed to develop an intergovernmental forum named as “Hiroshima AI process” to discuss issues about scaling AI tools.
The government officials of G7 plan to conduct the first working-level AI meeting on May 30 and discuss concerns such as protecting intellectual property, disinformation, and ways to govern the technology.
