The Federal Trade Commission has asked Amazon.com Inc. for further information regarding its proposed USD 3.9 billion acquisition of 1Life Healthcare Inc., which operates primary-care clinics under the moniker One Medical.
This information was revealed today in a securities filing. The probe was disclosed by publicly traded 1Life in a securities filing, as originally noted by the Wall Street Journal. According to the disclosure, the FTC sent requests for more information regarding the purchase to One Medical and Amazon on Friday. The Second Request from the FCC is the following stage in the typical regulatory review procedure, according to the filing.
The filing states that the effect is to extend the waiting period until 30 days following compliance with the Second Request by both entities.
