Drata scores 100m investment security

Drata has invested $ 100 million in a $ 1 billion north-sponsored sponsorship deal. The new $ 100 million funding cycle comes less than 10 months after a San Diego, Calif. Company came out with a secret $ 3 million grant to design and build a platform for automation and compliance.

Drata has positioned itself as a platform to achieve and maintain SOC 2 compliance with the ongoing ISO 27001. The Series B sponsorship cycle is led by ICONIQ Growth with additional investments from Alkeon Capital and Salesforce Ventures. Investors present at GGV Capital, Cowboy Ventures, and the Leaders Fund also participated.

The company plans to double its staff over the next year and use the new moon to introduce two additional entities – HIPAA and PCI DSS – in its ongoing provision of compliance.
