Dod Launches New Bug Bounty Program

The Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO), the Directorate for Digital Services, and the Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3) are starting the “Hack U.S” bug bounty program, according to a statement from the Department of Defense (DoD).

The program will provide financial awards for those ethical hackers and security analysts who can locate serious flaws within the purview of the DoD’s vulnerability disclosure program. The DoD will give researchers who disclose vulnerabilities a total of USD 110,000 incentive to participate.

Payments range from USD 1,000 for reports with critical severity, USD 500 for reports with high severity, and USD 3,000 for reports with extra special categories.
