DISA Restructures its Cloud Office to Form HaCC-01

According to FCW, the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) has reconfigured its cloud and enterprise service offices to form the Hosting and Compute Center (HaCC).

The new office combines DISA’s services directorate and ecosystem with the cloud computing program office. Sharon Woods, the executive director of the cloud program office, will take over as acting director of HaCC on Oct. 1, according to a DISA representative.

According to a DISA spokesperson, the HaCC will be “responsible for providing critical hosting and compute functions to the warfighter using modern data center and cloud capabilities,” which will support several Defense Department-wide initiatives such as Joint All Domain Command and Control and improving data analytics.
