Dell Technologies Inc. has disclosed that it has acquired Cloudify Ltd., a provider of cloud orchestration tools for businesses, without fanfare.
To manage workloads, software containers, and other elements of multicloud information technology environments, cloud architects and DevOps teams use Cloudify’s offerings. Dell didn’t officially announce the acquisition itself for an unspecified reason. TechCrunch, which first reported the story, pegs the deal’s worth at about USD 100 million.
Sources with knowledge of the transaction first reached out to TechCrunch, and the publication later came across a Form S-8 filing Dell made with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that detailed some of the share awards that Cloudify employees received as a result of the transaction. Later, Dell formally announced the purchase.
