Dell is acquiring a company to expand its cloud services business, particularly its DevOps offerings. Cloudify, an Israeli startup that developed a platform for cloud orchestration and infrastructure automation, is being acquired by the company.
DevOps engineers and cloud architects use Cloudify’s tools to manage workloads, containers, and other things in hybrid environments. Although Dell did not make the acquisition public, we learned from sources that Dell had filed documents with the SEC describing some of the share awards given to Cloudify employees.
According to a Dell spokesperson, “Dell Technologies announced that it has completed the acquisition of Cloudify.” “This transaction enables Dell to innovate the edge offerings moving forward.”
