Datafold Launches Open-Source Diffing Tool to Execute Data Validation Checks-01

New York-headquartered data reliability company Datafold has launched an open-source diffing tool to help enterprises compare databases and perform checks to validate data consistency. The new diffing package is offered by Datafold.

The “data-diff” solution actively verifies if the data that has been fed into a data warehouse corresponds to that in the source or the point of extraction using algorithms. The solution, which includes connectors for Postgres, MySQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Presto, and Oracle, is now accessible under an MIT license.

The startup stated it also intended to encourage contributors to build connectors for other data sources after raising $20 million USD in November 2021.
