Crate.io recently announced the expansion of its database service to Google Cloud, the third of the big three cloud providers (along with Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure). Crate refers to the expansion as an “operational and reporting data store.”
Users will now be able to launch CrateDB instances in any of these three large data centers or on their own servers. The product is not limited to the three cloud service providers and users in China can access versions hosted on domestic clouds.
Additionally, they can purchase a service directly from Crate.io. However, the new service ensures that users will not have to travel far to access the database.
