Confluent Inc. has announced plans to acquire Immerok GmbH, a startup with a platform that makes it easier to develop stream processing applications. The agreement’s terms weren’t made public.
Previously, investors contributed USD 17 million to the German company Immerok. A program that processes data almost instantly is known as a stream processing application. For instance, a cybersecurity tool might process breach alerts in almost real-time to hasten the detection of malware.
Contrarily, a lot of conventional applications don’t analyze fresh data until hours or even days after it has been generated. The stream processing application needs to gather data as soon as it is generated in order to process it almost instantly.
