Stacklet, founded by Kapil Thangavelu and Travis Stanfield, has announced the launch of a cloud governance platform. This is an extension of the Cloud Custodian platform that Thangavelu had helped develop while working at Capital One. They are working to boost the base open-source project built by the co-founder. The platform will be used to develop a commercial enterprise to add functionalities that make it easier for organizations to implement and understand.
In general cloud administrators simply download and analyze how to implement the raw open-source software. Stacklet aims to simplify this process by deploying an administrative layer that can be used to manage access to cloud accounts. The tech comes with a set of pre-packaged compliance standards, analytics to understand the tool and terms of use.
