Cisco has reached a deal to buy Kubernetes-focuses start-up Banzai Cloud. This marks the company’s second cloud-native focused acquisition over the last one month. The agreement with Banzai Cloud is expected to close at the end of this quarter.
Headquartered in Budapest, the 3-year old start-up developed a Kubernetes-based platform that helps enterprises create, deploy, and scale cloud-native applications. Cisco plans to acquire the start-up’s assets and team. When the deal closes, the Banzai Cloud team will join the Emerging Technologies and Incubation group and focus on incubating new projects for security, cloud-native networking, and edge computing environments for distributed applications.
