Cisco to acquire Valtix to strengthen its Security Cloud portfolio

In an effort to expand its Security Cloud portfolio, Cisco Systems Inc. announced plans to acquire cloud-native network security startup Valtix Inc. A multicloud network security platform from Valtix enables cloud teams to easily and simply meet even the most demanding security standards.

The Valtix platform is accessible on Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services. Cisco withheld the acquisition’s purchase price. Valtix has secured USD 26.5 million in venture capital funding, including a round of USD 12.5 million in January 2021, according to Crunchbase. The Valtix team will become a part of Cisco’s Security Business Group and incorporate its product into Cisco’s Security Cloud lineup.

The company claims that the integration will hasten Cisco’s progress toward providing a seamless experience in workload security across multi-cloud environments.
