
Several companies, including Cisco, Dell, Google, and Microsoft, have recently joined the legal battle of Facebook against NSO, the hacking company. The tech giants are filing an amicus brief in the federal court warning that NSO used the tools are dangerous and powerful.
Before the US Court of Appeals for Ninth Circuit, this was filed, opening up a different front into a lawsuit against NSO. Last year the cyber-surveillance company had exploited a bug in Facebook-owned WhatsApp.

In its essence, NSO has argued that it should provide subsidy from sovereign immunity as it sells digital break-in solutions to spy agencies and police.
