Cisco has announced the acquisition of ThousandEyes that provides a platform for enterprises to visualize environments that run through multiple clouds and networks. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed; however, a Bloomberg report says the purchase price is about $1 billion.
As a result of the acquisition, ThousandEyes will be part of Cisco’s new Networking Services business unit. The company’s technology will be used across Cisco’s enterprise networking, cloud, and AppDynamics portfolio. The deal is expected to be closed before the end of its first fiscal quarter.
