By ET Bureau - August 11, 2020 1 Mins Read

Canon’s image. canon, cloud service suffered an outage and went down recently. The site went offline in the last week of July and went up again in the first week of August. Canon confirmed that no security breach had occurred. Images were not leaked and hence it was confirmed that the outage was separate from the ransomware incident suffered by Canon recently.

Unfortunately, users were affected by the outage. Canon announced that there is no technical measure available to retrieve the video images lost during the website downtime. Some photos may still be retrieved but with less than the original resolution. The issue occurred due to a coding issue that was confused with the site’s second function.
