Alphabet Inc’s Google total capital expenditures globally hit $47 billion over the past three years, driving more investments. The company is planning to increase its customer workforce to support cloud computing services in Latin America by three times, by the end of 2020, Google Cloud’s director in Brazil, João Bolonha, has said. The expansion is already underway, and teams are growing in Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, and Colombia.

Aided by the fact that only 20% of all companies in the region are using cloud computing, there is a massive growth expectation. Over the last year, consumption of Google’s solutions rose over 300%, and Brazil is the fastest-growing market in the area, this expansion is not surprising.
