Brookfield Infrastructure Partners LP, a publicly traded limited partnership with corporate headquarters in Toronto, Canada, and DigitalBridge Group Inc. global digital infrastructure investment firm, is bidding to take over Compass Datacenters LLC for more than USD 5.5 billion, including debt.
Deal making in the data center industry has increased in recent years as the sector’s rapid growth is pumped by cloud computing. It has lured large infrastructure investors, and the sector’s fragmented nature has driven consolidation. Compass Datacenters, located in Dallas, Texas, offers tailor-made data centers for enterprises.
