Both Users Will Now Post Videos to GitHub to Demonstrate Glitches and Functionality

Five months after releasing the function in beta, GitHub has officially opened video uploads, allowing all developers to directly include.mp4 or.mov files in pull requests, discussions, issues, feedback, and more.

Video uploads are intended to help developers visually explain to project maintainers the steps they took when they found a bug, or to show what a significant new code update accomplishes in terms of functionality.

Instead of having to follow potentially frustrating step-by-step textual instructions, the next person will now see exactly what’s going on at the other end.
