BigID Data-Centric Privacy Firm Raises $50 Million for Privacy Regulation

BigID, the data-centric privacy firm, has raised $50 million Series C round of funding, led by Tiger Global Management. Four months ago the company also bagged $50 million, and including this, it has raised 144$ million to date to manage the increase of privacy regulations globally, including GDPR in Europe and CCPA in California.

The privacy rules and regulations are continually evolving. Hence BigID thinks they launched the firm at the right moment, back in 2016. BigID CEO Dimitri Sirota said in a statement, “Fortunately for us, some of the requirements that we said we’re going to be critical, like being able to understand what data you collect on each individual across your entire data landscape, have come to pass.”
