Backbone has raised a 14 million USD seed round led by Nautilus Ventures, 12/12 Ventures, and private investors to validate its technology.
According to Backbone, the funds raised would be utilised to acquire new clients, expand into new areas, and enhance the company’s supply mesh technology as it accelerates worldwide expansion.
The company claims that the platform converts the components of a business’s supply chain into a browser-based, visual dashboard, from which it attempts to determine the costs associated with things in order to forecast their profitability while accounting for supply chain fluctuation.
