In October, Google announced that it had achieved a quantum supremacy milestone which is a new world of computing. After a month, Microsoft revealed Azure Quantum. And, last week AWS announced its Amazon Braket, a cloud service that helps to tap into quantum hardware provides.
Quantum bits make up the quantum computing in a state of 0, 1, or superposition of both. Presently, cloud quantum computing options are limited to single hardware providers like D-Wave and IBM. But, Amazon and Microsoft want to bring changes.
Researchers are excited to experiment with quantum as they will be able to use different quantum processors via the same service. The processors have different architecture; hence it’s still not clear if it would be easy to switch.
