AT&T to introduce a 5G service for FirstNet subscribers in at least 38 cities and over 20 venues, in April. The carrier said that this primary launch is the first measure in a multiphase, multi-year deployment of complete 5G capabilities on the FirstNet network.

Jason Porter, president of the public sector and FirstNet, AT&T, said that 5G now provides a lot more services to the entire public-safety community. Also, it’s critical to ensure that as new technologies become available, be it any, including 5G, edge computing, augmented reality, or others, businesses must take a front responder-centric view in how to approach its deployment.
