Atlassian has unveiled Forge, a new platform for developers looking to create cloud applications for their own use or for the Atlassian Marketplace. Developers will be able to create apps across all Atlassian products, beginning with Jira and Confluence, using the new platform. This should make it easier for developers to create B2B applications that are ready to meet Atlassian’s enterprise customers’ needs.
Atlassian invested two years in Forge, a serverless platform that gets rid of all the heavy lifting in app development.
