Arista Networks has announced the acquisition of network monitoring and software-defined networking (SDN) company Big Switch Networks. The acquisition will offer customers better visibility into Arista’s cloud area networks. Big Switch is popular for Big Cloud Fabric, its data center switching fabric that offers network automation and visibility for software-defined data centers and cloud-native applications.
