ANU Introduces Quantum-Powered Random Number Generator on AWS Marketplace

The Australian National University (ANU) announced the debut of the ANU Quantum Numbers (AQN) online random number generator on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Marketplace, enabling the service to be scaled and made available to over 310,000 active AWS users.

According to ANU, AQN employs quantum technology to generate true random numbers at fast speeds and in real time by measurements of the vacuum’s quantum fluctuations. Anyone online can create an API key and make up to 100 requests per month to the AQN API using the service’s free tier.

However, by launching AQN on AWS Marketplace, AWS customers will be able to make an infinite number of queries and will be charged for each one.
