AMD and IBM partner on AI_ confidential computing_ HPC_ hybrid cloud

The collaboration between IBM and AMD will help AMD with more cloud momentum and data center. The organizations announced the partnership on open source software, architectures, standards, and security for high-performance artificial intelligence and computing workloads.

The collaboration will help cement the importance of AMD’s position in hybrid cloud platforms and help the data center with a better foothold in the enterprise environment. The two organizations are already familiar with each other on many different fronts. Also, the two organizations have connections with GlobalFoundries. The company is renowned for manufacturing AMD chips in 2008 and bought IBM’s processor business six years later.
