Ambarella Announces Computer Vision Chips for Edge Computing

By ET Bureau - March 12, 2021 1 Mins Read

Ambarella

Ambarella, the chip designer company, has recently launched its new computer vision chip for AI processing at the edge of computer networks. This initiative could be beneficial for advanced technology solutions like security cameras, smart cars, and more.

The camera system on the chip contains high-resolution video encoding, system vision processing, and advanced image processing into one low-power chip.

With networks becoming flooded with increasing data traffic, these solutions must do necessary processing at the network edge. Hence, the interactions with datacenter processors are likely to be reduced. The company has also noted that this chip, being at the lower end, can generate applications at various price points and features.
