Amazon announced on Tuesday that it had requested rectification of the security flaws in its Blink home cameras.
Tenable Inc, a cyber-security company, came across some issues that could let cyberspies hijack the device and have full control of the device. They mentioned seven significant vulnerabilities in Blink’s XT2 camera systems, which could allow hackers to view the camera footage remotely. Amazon bought got Blink home security cameras in 2017 for $90 million.
An Amazon spokesperson yesterday said, “Customers have received automatic security updates addressing these issues for impacted devices.”
