Amazon launches updates to Textract

Amazon announced the launch of new enhancements to its product, Textract. The service allows the extraction of printed text and other information from documents, forms, and tables with machine learning. The service now supports English handwriting in documents, along with documents typed in French, German, Portuguese, Italian, and Spanish.

Amazon Web Services end-users can use the service’s handwriting recognition feature combined with Amazon’s Augmented AI (A2I) for better performance. A2I lets end-users develop workflows for human analysis and review the ML system’s predictions. Either AWS Marketplace contractors or employees can do this analysis and review.
