Amazon plans to be more dynamic in eliminating websites and services off its AWS cloud computing platform, which is used by Netflix, Fox, and ITV, among others.
A new group of experts will monitor and eliminate websites and services that are in breach of the company’s terms of service, such as those that promote violence. This decision is expected to reignite the argument over how much authority huge technology companies should have over free speech restrictions. It wouldn’t only delete a single post from a social networking app or a video from a website, but the entire website would be taken down from the internet.
