Alibaba Cloud has introduced a new tool that allows users to calculate the carbon emissions related to their company, following competitors like Amazon Web Services Inc., Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. An example of software as a service is Energy Expert, which is provided by Alibaba Cloud, the cloud computing division of China’s Alibaba Group Ltd.
The company refers to the product as a “sustainable platform” that aids in measuring, analyzing, and then controlling carbon emissions brought on by customers’ commercial activities.
According to Alibaba Cloud, customers may set up automated carbon accounting and reporting systems at the corporate and product-level using Energy Expert.
