
Airtable Inc., the $5.77 billion firm behind the well-known productivity platform of the same name, announced its first acquisition since its launch: data visualization specialist Bayes Technologies Inc.
The financial terms of the agreement were not made public. Y Combinator and Amplify Partners have invested an undisclosed amount of money in Bayes, which was formed in 2019.
Airtable is a well-known cloud application that allows employees to organize corporate data by creating spreadsheets. Airtable’s spreadsheets can include not only text and numbers, but also a variety of other components, which distinguishes it from similar applications like Excel.
